In most European Countries to charter a flotilla or bareboat yacht, the port authorities and our insurers require the skipper to have at least a practical day-skipper certificate or equivalent experience - in both cases together with an ICC.
Bareboat Charters >
A Bareboat Charter is where you hire and sail the yacht yourself, we supply no crew just the yacht. Bareboat sailing allows experienced and certificated sailors to take a yacht and plan their own itinerary
Nidri Town in Lefkas >
Halfway between Lefkada Town (17km north) where the island is connected by road bridge to the mainland, and Vassiliki (21km south) with it's ferry connection to Keffalonia, Nidri has it's own small ferry port with ferries to Keffalonia, Ithaka and Meganissi. Nidri has quite a good local bus service.

Day Boat Hire Greece
Beneteau 211 Day Boat built 2002. Maximum six persons. Tiller Steering, Furling Genoa and lazy jacks on mainsail. Full safety equipment including VHF Radio. 6 HP Outboard Engine. Raising Keel 0.7-1.8m. Prices are per 2-days (minimum hire) and an on-site cash payment of Euro30 per booking to be made to cover Yacht Damage Waiver, Cleaning and First Tank of Fuel. Ten mile range from base near Armonia Hotel. Must be collected on first day by 0930 hrs at the latest in order to receive instruction and must be returned to base by 1730 hrs each day unless otherwise agreed.

Shore-Based Introduction to Yachting/Brush-Up Courses
Any number of 2-Day courses may be taken during the duration of your holiday. These can lead to the issuing of Keelboat Level 1 and 2 Certificates. These can also be either an introduction to yachting for the novice sailor or a pre-flotilla brush-up for the experienced and certificated but rusty sailors.
